Kalli McCullen and
Sydney Gish had goals as the St. Olaf women's hockey team defeated the College of Saint Benedict 2-1 on Friday night.
Sam Klemann made 25 saves for the Oles to get the victory in net.
McCullen's goal gave St. Olaf (2-3-1, 1-2-0 MIAC) a 1-0 lead on assists from
Mary Kate Eiden and Natalie Kelly at 3:47 of the second period. Gish extended the lead, on an assist from
Ali Griffin, at 8:53 of the thrid.
The Blazers (0-5-0, 0-3-0 MIAC) got within a goal on Jessica Malloy's score at 10:38 of the third.
The teams complete the two-game series tomorrow night at Northfield Ice Arena.
