NEW ULM, Minn. -
Britta Koenen had two field goals inside the final two minutes to propel St. Olaf to a 57-51 women's basketball road victory at Martin Luther College on Tuesday night.
Koenen hit an 18-foot jumper from the wing to give St. Olaf a 50-49 lead with 1:37 left in regulation. After MLC (0-3) tied the game on free throw with 50 seconds left, Koenen grabbed an offensive rebound on the ensuing possession and finished the layup to give St. Olaf a lead it would not relinquish.
Koenen had just six points, but all six were in the final 1:37. She connected on a pair of free throws with 12 seconds left to ice the victory.
Makenna Ash had 11 points and nine rebounds, Margaret Andersen 11 points and
Ella Skrien 10 for the Oles (1-3). Andersen went 3-for-9 from the arc and added six rebounds.
Keegan Mulvihill chipped in nine points and had seven assists while playing all 40 minutes.

Samantha Tisa had a career-best 15 rebounds to go with six points.
St. Olaf was 10-for-12 from the free throw line. Martin Luther was a mere 12-for-25 from the charity stripe.
Jade St. Germaine had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Knights.
