WINONA, Minn. - Saint Mary's University used a 9-0 run late in the fourth quarter to outlast the St. Olaf women's basketball team, 61-55, despite a 15-point, nine-rebound effort from the Oles'
Britta Koenen.
Koenen was 6-for-12 from the field, including a 3-of-5 night from three-point range in the loss.
Allyson Fuller added 12 points, making 4-of-7 attempts from three, and
Makenna Ash added 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting.
The Cardinals were led by Alexa Huisman's 19 points and Brandi Blattner's 13.Â
St. Olaf led by one, 29-28, at the half and 40-34 with 3:08 left in the third quarter. The Cardinals stormed back with six straight to tie it and a Huisman three-pointer inside the final 20 seconds of the third quarter to make it 43-42 SMU.
