Robert Tobroxen 14 as St. Olaf rallied for a 92-81 men's basketball victory over Bethany Lutheran College on Monday night at Skoglund Center.
Sam Stensgard added 11 while a trio --
Ben Scheffley,
Troy Diggins Jr. and
Trevin Nelson -- had nine each for the Oles (4-1).
Frank Delaney chipped in eight points and
Dominic Bledsoe seven for St. Olaf, which had 23 assists and only nine turnovers.
Bethany Lutheran big man Trenton Krueger had 21 points and nine rebounds and Brady Rose 13 points for the Vikings (2-5).
St. Olaf trailed by four at halftime, 40-36, before opening the second half on an 8-0 run. The teams then traded the lead on four occasions before the Oles used a 14-3 run to take a 61-53 lead with 12:19 left.Â
The 92 points were the most for St. Olaf since Feb. 14, 2015 in a double overtime win over Hamline (100-88) and the most in regulation since a 102-70 win over Bethany Lutheran on Nov. 15, 2014. The Oles' 36 field goals were the most since January 21, 2015, when St. Olaf went 36-for-59 in an 86-77 loss vs. St. Thomas.
