NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's basketball team (2-7, 0-2 MIAC) lost 60-55 on Wednesday night to Hamline University (2-4, 1-1 MIAC) in a conference matchup at the Skoglund Center.
The Oles led the Pipers 36-26 at the half on 13 of 34 shooting (38.2%). In the second half, the Oles shot 18.2% (6-33) from the floor as the Pipers outscored the Oles 34-19 to surmount the first half lead the Oles had built.
Only one three-pointer was made all game, shot by the Piper's Morgan Coleman in the second half. The Oles ended the game 0 for 13 from beyond the arc, with Hamilton shooting 1 for 19.
St. Olaf had 22 more rebounds than the Pipers, ending the game with 54 to Hamilton's 32.
Keegan Mulvihill led the Oles with 13 points, followed by
Samantha Tisa and
Brooke Sulski who both scored 10.
Makenna Ash led St. Olaf with 13 rebounds.
Four Pipers shot for double digit points, with Coleman leading the pack at 15. Alaina Quaranta and Colman led Hamline with six rebounds each.
Next up for the Oles is a road game at the College of Saint Benedict on Saturday.
