ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's basketball team was defeated by Macalester College 60-53 on Saturday afternoon at the Leonard Center.
Makenna Ash led St. Olaf (7-16, 3-13 MIAC) in points with 13. The first year guard duo of
Ella Skrien and
Michelle Lother each put in 11 for the Oles, while
Betsey Daly added eight points and ten rebounds in the loss.Â
Macalester's (10-13, 4-12 MIAC) Lauren Clamage led all scorers with 24 points. Regan Fruh was next with 17.Â
Macalester shot 40 percent from the floor and 36.4 percent from three-point range to give them a hefty lead going into the third quarter. The Oles were plagued by cold shooting and went just 5-for-26 from three and shot just 29.2 percent from the floor.Â
St. Olaf will host Carleton College on Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. It will also be an Ole Pride event.
