NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's basketball team was defeated by Gustavus 81-47 on Wednesday night at Skoglund Athletic Center.
Kelsey Carpenter had an outstanding night from the three-point line for Gustavus (21-1, 14-1 MIAC). She was 8-for-10 from three and shot 11-for-13 from the floor for 31 points.
Gustavus shot 52.2 percent from three-point range and 51.7 percent from the floor. St. Olaf shot 15.8 percent from the three-point line and was 12-for-52 from the floor.
Makenna Ash added another double-double to her career after scoring 11 points and pulling down 13 rebounds for St. Olaf (7-15, 3-12 MIAC).
Ella Skrien led the Oles in points with 16 and also had two steals in the loss.
St. Olaf will travel to Macalester College on Saturday for the next MIAC matchup. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
