AUBURNDALE, Fla. - The St. Olaf baseball team defeated Clarkson University 14-6 before dropping the second game of the day to the University of Chicago, 10-2, in the Oles' first day in Florida.

Luke Dahl and
Dylan Blake had three hits each and
Ryan Iverson belted a grand slam in the eighth inning as the Oles beat Clarkson 14-3. St. Olaf raced to an 8-3 lead in the first three innings and scored the final five runs, punctuated by Iverson's homer in the eighth.
Jake Mathison struck out nine, allowing one earned run over five innings to get his second win of 2017.
Jake Ossell went 2-for-4 and
Thomas Peterson was 1-for-4 with four RBIs.
Chicago 10, St. Olaf 2
The Maroons scored all ten runs in the first three innings on the way to the lopsided victory. Brady Sarkon and Ian Bohn had three hits each for Chicago.
Mathison was 2-for-2 while
Luke Dahl was 2-for-5 for the Oles in the loss.
