Surge in seventh gets Oles game two win, split with Pipers

NORTHFIELD, Minn. -  St. Olaf scored four times in the bottom of the seventh inning of game two to beat Hamline 5-4 in game two of a MIAC baseball doubleheader on Friday to get a series split. Hamline won the first game 5-1.

Game One: Hamline 5, St. Olaf 1
Colin Olstad scored four times as Hamline defeated the Oles 5-1. Olstad was 1-for-1 with three walks while Rick Tormey and Jake Dujmovic each had two RBIs.

Jake Ossell had an RBI single in the first inning for the Oles, who were limited to three hits by Piper starter Zach Smith. Smith went the distance, striking out five with one walk. 

Game Two: St. Olaf 5, Hamline 4
Ossell hit a two-run triple to tie the game and later scored on a Dylan Blake single as the Oles rallied for the game two win. Ossell, Blake and Ryan Iverson had two hits each.

Ole starter Jesse Retzlaff worked five strong innings, scattering five hits and two walks. Hanson Devine threw three innings and Jake Mathison worked the ninth inning to get the save. 
 
Olstad was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Pipers.
