NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf baseball team scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to walk off to a 8-7 win as the host Oles swept a series from UW-Superior on Thursday at Mark Almli Field.
Game One: St. Olaf 8, UW-Superior 7
Jake Mathison was 2-for-3 and
Ryan Iverson tripled in two runs as the Oles rallied late to top the Yellowjackets.Â
Max Marshall pitched the final inning and two-thirds to pick up the win.Â
Cory Albertson was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for UWS.
Game Two: St. Olaf 6, UW-Superior 2
St. Olaf used a four-run second inning in the game one win. The Oles strung together three hits in the inning and took advantage of a UWS error.Â
Ben Arndt picked up the win, working two scoreless innings of relief.
St. Olaf finishes up the 2017 schedule on Saturday with a home doubleheader against Augsburg College at 1 p.m.
