NORTHFIELD, Minn - Thomas Redden scored in the last minute to give Bethel the 1-0 win over the St. Olaf men's soccer team Wednesday at Rolf Mellby Field.

With 52.7 seconds remaining in regulation, Redden launched a corner kick at the goal.  Ole goalkeeper Ben Westermeyer got his hands on the ball, but was unable to handle it as the ball bounced into the goal to break the tie.  

Both teams battled for the full duration of the game, with the high temperature and competitive intensity resulting in multiple players going down with injuries.  The officials were proactive in protecting the athletes from the heat, stopping the clock numerous times to allow the players to drink water.
