RIVER FALLS, Wis. - St. Olaf dropped a pair of hard-fought matches at the UW-River Falls Invitational on Friday, losing the opener in four sets to Saint Benedict before a five-set loss to the host Falcons.

The College of Saint Benedict outlasted St. Olaf 31-29, 11-25, 25-22 and 25-23 in the opening round of the UW-River Falls Invite on Friday at Page Arena.
Megan Grimes had 15 kills to lead three Oles in double figures.
Lauren Rewers added 14 kills and Summer Ried 13 for the Oles, who hit .452 in the second set victory.Â
Hunter Weiss had 15 and Madison Weiss 14 kills for the Blazers.Â

The host Falcons moved to 12-1 with a 29-27,23-25,16-25,25-21,15-10 victory over the Oles (8-4). Reid had 16 kills and a match-high 25 digs for St. Olaf. Rewers added 13 and
Morgan Marxer 10 kills, hitting .417 for St. Olaf in the loss.
Alison Curry had nine kills on 17 attempts with only one error to hit .471.Â
Lexi Wall had 49 set assists.
Hannah Striggow had 17 kills and Amara Meyer 14 for the Falcons.
