ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's swimming and diving team participated in the St. Thomas Invite on Saturday, finishing third out of the four competing teams.

The Oles took third in the 400 Yard Medley Relay. The team of Kelly Punyko, Kelly Wichmann, Helen Jensen, and Marissa Wolff swam the event in 4:11.55. The University of St. Thomas won the event with a time of 4:01.45.

The relay team of Wolff, Jensen, Wichmann, and Nina McLarnan finished third in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay at 3:53.23, behind the Tommie team's 3:39.67.

Wolff won the 500 Yard Freestyle for the Oles, finishing the event in 5:11.04. Wolff also finished second in the 200 Yard Freestyle at 1:58.02.

Jensen took third for the Oles in the 100 Yard Butterfly, swimming a 1:01.70. Kate Smarjesse of St. Thomas won with a 1.01.12.

Wichmann raced to third place in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a 2:37.05. Ashley Christensen of the Tommies won with a 2:28.17.

In the 100 Yard Backstroke, Punkyo placed third with a time of 1:03.24. Tiana Molitor of St. Thomas swam a 1:01.18 to win the event. Punkyo added a second place finish in the 200 Yard IM.

Linnea Rizzo finished second in the 200 Yard Butterfly at 2:15.08. The Tommies' Katelyn Strauss took first at 2:09.35.

In diving, Rose Peterson placed first in the 1 Meter Dive, scoring a 206.10. Peterson finished second in the 3 Meter Dive with a score of 196.85.
