NORTHFIELD, Minn. -
Tobias Gabrielsen's goal with 1:12 left in regulation lifted St. Olaf to a 4-3 MIAC win over first place Augsburg University on Saturday night at Northfield Ice Arena.
The goal capped a three-goal final period for the Oles (7-9-2, 4-5-1 MIAC), who had a two-goal night from
Gordon Wells. Wells had the game's first goal at 3:15 of the first period and later tied the game with his mark at 10:52 of the third.
Drew Otto had a goal and an assist and
Roshen Jaswal two assists in the win for St. Olaf.
Augsburg (14-7-0, 8-4-0 MIAC) had goals from Austin Martinsen, Lukas Gillett and Eli May.
Eric Hancock picked up the win for St. Olaf in net, making 37 saves. He faced 10 shots on power plays, allowing one goal, and he held off the Auggies with an extra skater last 1:12 of the game.
St. Olaf is now 3-1-1 in the second game of MIAC series this winter.
