EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The St. Olaf women's hockey team (2-7-3) fell 10-2 to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (8-5-2) on Tuesday night.
St. Olaf jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period.
Jane Vezina put the Oles on the board with her seventh goal of the season.
Riley Anderson added another goal a minute later to put the Oles up by two. Anderson's goal was her seventh this season, which tied her with Vezina for the team lead.
After Anderson's goal, the Blugolds went on a 10-0 run. Courtney Wittig led Eau Claire with a hat trick, and Jaedyn Walz added two goals of her own.
Next up for the Oles is a road game at St. Catherine University on Friday.
