NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Two goals in each half sent the University of St. Thomas to a 4-0 victory over the St. Olaf College men's soccer team in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) matchup on Saturday at Rolf Mellby Field.
Jake Amey broke the deadlock in the 11
th minute of play after a pass through the St. Olaf (4-12-0, 2-7-0 MIAC) defense, creating a one-on-one opportunity. Will Kidd scored 18 minutes later in the first half off of a penalty. St. Thomas (12-3-1, 5-2-1 MIAC) increased the score 3-0 in the second half with a second goal from Kidd followed by a goal from Josh Grzesiak 14 minutes later to account for the final margin of the game.

In the 87
th minute of play Morkeberg had a chance to put the Oles on the board with a shot outside of the box in the middle of the field, but St. Thomas goalkeeper Aidan Hogan posted the save followed by another opportunity for the Oles as the Tommies snagged the save from
Will Reichert.
St. Olaf continues play Tuesday, Oct. 23 as they host the University of Minnesota- Morris at 3:30 p.m.
