MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The St. Olaf College wrestling team finished tied for 13th at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) Invitational on Saturday at Hotchkin Arena.
At 125 pounds, junior
Luke Wallace fell to Erik Gerovac (UW-Eau Claire) by fall and lost in a technical fall, 9-5, against Isaac Wiegel (UW-Platteville).
In the 149-pound bracket, first year
Joaquin Montero lost by fall in two matches against Wilyonde Bell (Millikin) and Connor Nolan (Concordia (Wis.)).
First year
Jack Ridgway also wrestled at 149 pounds, falling to David Dudych (UW-Eau Claire) by tech fall before suffering an injury against Gavin Burch (UW-Platteville).
At 157 pounds, junior
Bryant Ridgway dropped a 12-7 decision to Tony Bivens (UW-Platteville) and a 7-2 decision to Caele Manley (Wheaton (Ill.)). Sophomore
Charles Gieser was pinned in both his matches at 157 pounds.
The Oles are back to action Saturday, Jan. 5 as they travel to Pella, Iowa for the Central College Open, which begins at 9 a.m.
