Drew Otto scored at 2:59 of overtime to lift St. Olaf to a 4-3 MIAC men's hockey victory over Saint Mary's University in the season finale.
The Oles (9-12-3, 6-8-2 MIAC) trailed 1-0 through two periods and 2-0 early in the third before erupting with three unanswered.
Tuukka Totro scored at 5:01,
Charlie Widmar at 10:21 and
Roshen Jaswal at 17:27 to give the Oles a 3-2 lead.Â
SMU responded with Jared Johnson's goal with 1:18 left in regulation to force the extra session.
Tobias Gabrielsen assisted on Jaswal's score and Otto's game-winner.Â
Eric Hancock made 32 saves to get the victory in net for St. Olaf. Â
The Ole victory ended Saint Mary's MIAC Playoff bid. Chad Cesarz scored each of the first two goals for SMU.Â
