AUBURNDALE, Fla. - The St. Olaf baseball team (7-6) handed No. 3 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (6-1) their first loss of the season with a 6-3 victory on Monday.
The Oles jumped out to a lead with a four-run second inning. With two outs and the bases loaded,
Sam Pressman drove in two with a double.
TJ Rogers followed Pressmann and drove in two more with a single.
Jake Mathison drove in a run for the Oles with an RBI single in the seventh, going 2-for-5 with a walk and a run scored.
Jake Ossell was 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
Jesse Retzlaff (1-0) started for St. Olaf and earned the win, allowing one run on two hits and a walk through three innings while striking out three.
Blake Fleischman drove in the only earned run for UW-Whitewater with an RBI single in the third. The Warhawks added two unearned runs in the eighth.
Next up for the Oles is a doubleheader against Colby College on Tuesday.
