MOORHEAD, Minn. - The St. Olaf baseball team (10-10, 0-4 MIAC) was shut out 1-0 in the first game of a doubleheader against the University of St. Thomas (9-9, 4-2 MIAC) on Saturday and defeated 9-4 in the second game.

The Oles were shut out in the opening game 1-0.
Drew Molin (2-0) earned the win for the Tommies, pitching five and two-thirds innings while holding the Oles scoreless on five hits and striking out five.
The sole run of the game was driven in on a sacrifice fly by the Tommies' Sam Cobbs in the first inning.
Shaun Falbo picked up the save, his third of the year for the Tommies.
Five different Oles picked up a hit in the loss.

The Oles hit a pair of homers but fell 9-4 in the second game.
Sam Stuckmayer hit a solo shot in the second inning, his first of the year, to put the Oles on the board.
Dylan Blake led the Oles with three RBI, going 2-for-3 at the plate. Blake drove in a run in the third with a RBI double down the left field line, and added two more in the sixth with his second home run of the season.
Grant Gunderson (1-2) earned the win for the Tommies, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks while striking out two in five and one-third innings pitched.
Josh Thorpe, Jake Smith, and Alex Cobb each drove in two runs for the Tommies. Thorpe finished the game 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles.
Next up for the Oles is a doubleheader against Concordia College on Sunday.
