MOORHEAD, Minn. - The St. Olaf baseball team (11-11, 1-5 MIAC) earned their first conference win of the season with a 6-5 win over Concordia College (12-11, 5-3 MIAC) on Sunday, though the Oles fell to the Cobbers in the second game 6-5.

The Oles held on to defeat the Cobbers 6-5 in the first game of the doubleheader.
Up by one run with runners on first and third and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Oles turned a double play to close out their first win over an MIACÂ opponent this season.
Luke Dahl led the Oles with two RBI. Dahl drove in the first run of the game with a sacrifice fly in the second, and regained the lead for the Oles with a RBI double in the sixth after the Cobbers had tied it up at 4-4 in the fifth.
Dylan Blake drove in a run for the Oles in the fifth, and
Jake Mathison drove in the deciding run in the top of the seventh with an RBI single to left field.
Turner Storm led the Cobbers with two RBI. Storm drove in a run with a double in the fifth, and cut the Ole lead to one run with a RBI single in the bottom of the seventh.
Hunter Barber (3-1) notched the win, pitching two and two-thirds innings in relief. Barber allowed one run on one hit and two walks.
Sam Pressman and
Matthew Muller each had a pair of hits for the Oles.
Concordia 6, St. Olaf 5
With two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Cobbers' Chad Johnson launched a walk-off home run to hand the Oles a 6-5 loss.
The walk-off homer capped off a 3-for-4 game for Johnson, who scored two runs to go along with two RBI.
The Oles had rallied with three runs in the fifth inning to even the game at 5-5. Mathison (2-for-3, BB, RBI, 2 R) drove in a run with a single to start the rally. Two batters later Blake scored on a fielding error, and Muller tied the game with a sac fly right afterwards. The draw would not be broken until the walk-off in the seventh.
Jake Ossell led the Oles with three RBI, driving in two with a RBI double in the third.
Adam Nibaur (2-0) received the win for the Cobbers, allowing no runs on two hits in two and one-third innings pitched in relief.
Next up for the Oles is a crosstown rivalry game as they host Carleton College for a doubleheader on Wednesday.
