Baseball: Oles walk off to 8-7 win in game two to save split

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Jake Ossell was a combined 6-for-6 while Dylan Blake's RBI-single in the seventh inning gave St. Olaf an 8-7, walk-off MIAC baseball victory in game two of a doubleheader on Saturday, after Hamline won a wild first game by the same score.

Game One: Hamline 8, St. Olaf 7 (8 inn.)
Hamline scored a run in the eighth and held off the Oles for the game one win.

St. Olaf, down 7-0, scored seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, capped by Jake Ossell's game-tying three-run homer. The Oles had nine hits in the inning, and had two runners on with a chance to walk off. 

Ossell was 4-for-4 with a a run while TJ Rogers, Ben Arndt and Travis McDonald had two hits each for the Oles. 

St. Olaf had two runners on in the eighth, but Matt Muller's line drive to left field was caught to secure the Piper victory.

Game Two: St. Olaf 8, Hamline 7
Blake's game-winning single came with no outs and two runners on. Rogers walked to lead off the inning and Sam Pressman followed with a double to set up Blake's walk off. 

Ossell was 2-for-2 while Jake Mathison, Blake and Pressman had two hits each for St. Olaf (14-12, 4-6 MIAC). 

Elliott Engen was 3-for-4 for the Pipers, who scored five runs in the third inning. St. Olaf responded with three in the bottom of the third to tie the game. 

Cameron Gray worked four innings of relief, allowing one run to get the win.
