NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf softball team (21-15, 11-9 MIAC) fell 2-1 and 5-1 in a pair of games against the College of Saint Benedict (28-6, 15-3 MIAC) on Saturday at Mabel Shirley Field.

The Blazers rallied to defeat the Oles 2-1 in the first game.
Macy Vosbeek gave the Oles a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning with a RBI single to center.
The next inning, Megan Toninato drove in a run to even the game up at 1-1. Toniato then stole second base, advanced to third on a strikeout, and scored on a wild pitch to give the Blazers the deciding run.
Ally Hjort (10-2) pitched a complete game for the Blazers, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out nine.
Jordan Melz led the Oles with two hits.

The Oles fell 5-1 in the second game as the Blazers hit a pair of homers.
Alex Smith opened the scoring with solo home run in the second, and Kendra Swanson followed in the third with a two-run shot to give the Blazers a 3-0 lead.
The Blazers scored another run in the third and one in the fifth on a pair of Ole errors.
Cassie Meyer (6-0) earned the win, allowing one run on six hits and a walk while striking out two in five innings pitched.
Melz broke up Meyer's shutout with a home run in the fifth inning to put the Oles on the board.
Kate Arneson had two hits to lead the Oles.
Each team had eight hits, but the Oles committed three errors to the Blazers one.
Next up for the Oles is the final series of the regular season as they host Bethel University for a doubleheader on Wednesday.
