DUNDAS, Minn. - The St. Olaf softball team (10-10, 0-4 MIAC) was swept by the University of St. Thomas (15-5, 5-1 MIAC) by scores of 2-1 and 10-0 in a doubleheader Sunday night.

The Tommies defeated the Oles 2-1 in the opener.
Hayley Dunning (11-2) earned the win in a complete game effort, allowing one run on four hits and a walk while striking out six.
With the bases loaded in the first inning, Dana Connelly drove in a run with a ground-out to short to put the Tommies on the board. A wild pitch in the second allowed Kristin McGonigal to score, putting the Tommies up 2-0.

Hannah Matthies each had two hits for the Oles.

The Tommies completed the sweep with a 10-0 win over the Oles in a game that lasted five innings.
Sammy Hogan (4-2) pitched 2 1/3 shutout innings to earn the win, giving up two hits and a walk while striking out three.
At the plate, Hogan led the Tommies with three RBI, going 2-for-4 with a run scored. Hogan drove in all three of her RBI with a bases-clearing triple in the third inning.
Emily Carr was responsible for two of the Oles' three hits in the game, with
Abby Grismer getting the remainder.Â
Isabelle Marketon picked up the save for the Tommies, her third of the season.
Next up for the Oles is a doubleheader at Augsburg University on Thursday.
