LA CROSSE, Wis. - A partial squadron of the St. Olaf women's track team raced at the Last Chance Qualifier on Thursday night.

Abby Stets competed to place third in the open 400, running a time of 56.77.  The 4x400 meter relay team of Katie Elstad, Johanna Glaser, Jordan Lutz and Stets ran a time of 3:54.16 which sets a new season best for the relay squad.

In the 3000 meter steeplechase, Jena Moody won the event with a time of 10:54.36, which puts her 25th in DIII competition this spring.  The top 22 qualify for the NCAA Championships, but if other competitors elect to run other events, Moody will move into qualifying territory. 

Lutz also competed in the 1500, running to a runner-up finish in 4:33.12.  This time places her 26th in DIII competition, with the same qualitying criteria as Moody.

Jessica Bentley threw 36.82 meters in the javelin throw to place second, and Mackenzie Schoustra was fifth with a throw of 34.52 meters.

The Oles will await the NCAA qualifying announcement later this week.
