MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The St. Olaf College women's basketball team forced 30 turnovers and recorded 28 points off turnovers as the Oles downed North Central University, 87-53, in a non-conference contest on Tuesday evening at Clark-Danielson Gymnasium.
St. Olaf (1-1) forced 30 North Central (0-2) turnovers and had 28 points off turnovers, as the Oles shot 40.3 percent from the floor and held the Rams to 29.1 percent shooting. In the final three quarters of the game, St. Olaf outscored North Central, 66-32, to secure the victory.

K'Lynn Lewis led St. Olaf with 18 points and senior
Britta Koenen recorded a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds, including eight offensive rebounds. Sophomore
Camryn Scott added 12 points and first year
Rachel Kelly reached double figures with 11 points and five rebounds.
Midway through the first quarter, North Central went on an 8-2 run and took an 18-12 lead. St. Olaf outscored the Rams, 7-1, in the final 1:54 of the period to even the score at 21-21, as Lewis sank a three-pointer with 34 seconds to go.

Ella Skrien put St. Olaf up five a minute into the second quarter, and Kelly extended the Oles' lead to seven at 30-23 with 8:12 left in the half.
Senior
Kelsie Gerovac found Lewis behind the arc with 4:12 to go in the half to extend St. Olaf's lead to 10 at 37-27. St. Olaf would lead by as many as 13 points late in the half, as the Oles outscored the Rams, 21-11, in the second quarter.
The Oles hit six-straight shots early in the third quarter to stretch their lead to 20, 55-35, with 6:40 to go in the quarter and forced eight turnovers in the period. Senior
Allyson Fuller sank a three-pointer with 46 seconds to go in the quarter to extend the lead to 72-44 heading into the final period.
In the fourth quarter, St. Olaf held North Central scoreless for the first 3:29 of the period. A jumper from sophomore
Sydney Beard and free throws from Kelly and Scott early in the quarter made the lead 78-44. St. Olaf would extend its lead to as many as 37 in the final quarter.
The Oles outrebounded the Rams, 45-34, in the game, including 21 offensive rebounds that turned into 20 second-chance points for St. Olaf. The Oles' bench recorded 30 points in the game.
St. Olaf heads to St. Joseph, Minn. for the Quinlivan & Hughes Tip-Off Tournament on Nov. 15 and 16. The Oles face Buena Vista on Friday at 6 p.m. and Minnesota Morris on Saturday at 1 p.m.
