LEXINGTON, Ky. – The St. Olaf College volleyball returned to the national rankings this week, checking in at No. 23 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NCAA Division III Top 25 Poll released on Tuesday afternoon.
St. Olaf (26-5) jumped back into the national rankings for the second time this season after its run to the championship match of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Playoffs. The Oles were previously ranked No. 23 in the country on Oct. 15, which was the first time the program had been nationally-ranked since the week of Sept. 6, 2011.
This season, St. Olaf owns three victories against nationally-ranked opponents, with a pair of wins over Saint Benedict and one over Augsburg. Saint Ben's is ranked No. 15 and Augsburg is tied with Babson for No. 16 in the country in this week's poll.
The Oles earned an at-large bid into the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship and take on the University of Northwestern (Minn.) on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 3 p.m. at Schoenecker Arena on the campus of the University of St. Thomas.
