ORLANDO, Fla. – The St. Olaf College women's tennis team held a 2-1 lead after doubles before George Fox University rallied in singles to defeat the Oles, 5-4, in a non-conference contest on Monday afternoon at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) National Campus.
St. Olaf (2-4) used doubles victories from the pairs of

Greta Prokosch and
Kellis Brandt/
Teresa Fawcett to take a 2-1 advantage into singles. George Fox (4-10), however, won four of the six singles matches to come away with the win.
Barboza and Prokosch evened their record at 3-3 on the season with an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles, while Brandt and Fawcett posted an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles to put St. Olaf ahead, 2-1, entering singles play.
Prokosch and
Emily Otteson provided victories in singles for the Oles. Prokosch defeated Danielle Brown by a 6-1, 7-6 (9-7) margin at No. 4 singles for her second-straight win, while Otteson rallied from a set down for a 4-6, 6-1, 10-6 victory at No. 3 singles to notch her third singles win of the season.
St. Olaf faces UW-Oshkosh on Tuesday, Mar. 26 in the second match of its trip to Orlando.
