NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Mollie Wise scored a hat trick to lead the College of Saint Benedict to a 5-1 victory over the St. Olaf College women's hockey team in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) series opener between the two teams on Friday evening at St. Olaf Ice Arena.
Wise scored once in each of the three periods and tallied the first two goals of the game for Saint Benedict (8-8-1, 3-8-0 MIAC), which built a 3-0 lead before junior

Wise got the scoring started for Saint Ben's with a power-play goal at 11:36 of the opening period as she deflected in a shot by Courtney Conlin from the right circle. She went on to double her tally and the CSB lead 1:17 into the second period, scoring seconds after Kailee Medved made a save on a breakaway by
Maddie Anderson to give the Bennies a 2-0 lead.
Saint Ben's killed off 1:04 of a 5-on-3 power play for St. Olaf later in the second period as the score remained 2-0 after two periods. Riley Schneider extended CSB's lead to 3-0 at 10:31 of the third period before Carpenter answered 1:04 later, putting in a rebound after Medved saved a close-range shot by Carpenter.
