OWATONNA, Minn. – The St. Olaf College women's tennis team used a doubles sweep to record a 6-3 victory over Iowa Central Community College on Friday evening at Owatonna Tennis Center.
St. Olaf (2-1) started the match with a doubles sweep behind victories from the tandems of

Greta Prokosch and
Teresa Fawcett/
Ella Hagopian. In singles, the Oles earned a split with wins from Barboza, G. Prokosch and
Christiana Cholakis to secure the win.
Otteson and G. Prokosch put the first point on the board with an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles before Barboza and A. Prokosch added an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles. Fawcett and Hagopian finished off the doubles sweep with an 8-6 victory at third doubles to send St. Olaf into singles with a commanding lead.
The Tritons won the first two singles matches to finish to make the team score 3-2 before Cholakis posted her first-career victory at No. 4 singles with a 7-5, 6-4 triumph. Iowa Central CC won its second super tiebreaker of the night for a win at No. 2 singles to stay alive, but Barboza won her super tiebreaker at No. 1 singles to cap a rally from a set down in a 3-6, 7-6, 10-5 win that sealed the victory.
G. Prokosch remained unbeaten this season with a 7-6, 6-4 victory at No. 3 singles for her third-straight win to start the season in the final match on court.
St. Olaf travels to Pella, Iowa to face Central College on Friday, Mar. 6 at 11 a.m.
