OWATONNA, Minn. – The St. Olaf College women's team dropped just three games in a doubles sweep and went on to defeat Hamline University, 8-1, to move to 2-0 on the season on Saturday afternoon at West Hills Tennis and Fitness Center.

Anna Secor did not drop a game in their doubles victories to help St. Olaf (2-0, 2-0 MIAC) to a quick doubles sweep of Hamline (0-4, 0-2 MIAC). The Oles went on to claim five of the six singles matches in straight sets.
Barboza and Prokosch's 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles was their second-straight win to begin the season, while
Emily Otteson and
Greta Prokosch also moved to 2-0 with their 8-3 victory at No. 2 doubles. St. Olaf is 5-1 in doubles matches through two matches.
In singles,
Christiana Cholakis cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles, while
Teresa Fawcett and
Greta Prokosch dropped just one game apiece in their wins at No. 6 and No. 3 singles, respectively.
Allie Prokosch surrendered just two games in her 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles.
Emily Otteson continued her unbeaten start to the season with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at the fourth spot.
In a marathon match at No. 1 singles, Hamline's Elise Beirbaum outlasted Barboza by a 7-5, 6-7 (6-8), 10-5 scoreline to give the Pipers their one point.
St. Olaf heads to the University of Northwestern (Minn.) on Friday, April 9 for a 4 p.m. non-conference match.
