MOORHEAD, Minn. – The St. Olaf College men's basketball team was unable to slow down Concordia-Moorhead as the Cobbers shot 60.4 percent from the field on their way to an 83-66 win over the Oles on Thursday evening at Memorial Auditorium.

Concordia (3-6, 2-4 MIAC) made 10 of its first 13 shots from the field and was 29-for-48 from the field on its way to snapping a three-game losing streak and claiming its second win in the last eight meetings in the series. St. Olaf (7-4, 3-3 MIAC) got a career-high 22 points from sophomore Connor Martin and shot 52.6 percent (30-for-57) from the field, but was just 3-for-21 (14.3 percent) from behind the arc in the loss.

Martin was 10-for-14 from the field in the highest-scoring game of his career and also handed out four assists in the loss. Senior Dominic Bledsoe was the only other Ole in double figures, scoring 14 points on 7-for-13 shooting. Juniors Charlie Haff and Jake Weber had nine points apiece for St. Olaf.

After entering the game averaging under seven points per game, first year Dylan Inniger exploded for a game-high 28 points on 9-for-14 shooting, including 5-for-7 from behind the arc, for the Cobbers. Inninger had 21 of his 28 points in the second half, making 4-of-5 tries from long distance after the break. Rowan Nelson added 17 points on 6-for-8 shooting for Concordia.

Nelson was 4-for-5 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line in the opening half, scoring 12 points before the break to help the Cobbers to a 40-26 halftime lead. A three-pointer by Haff gave St. Olaf a 14-10 lead 4:28 into the game, but the Oles scored just one point over the next 6:15 as the hosts went on a 16-1 run to open up a 26-15 lead after opening the game 10-for-13 from the field.

Concordia cooled off a little over the final nine minutes of the half but still finished the half at 63.6 percent (14-for-22) and made all 10 of its free throws before the break. Martin and Haff had seven points apiece in the opening half for the Oles, who were just 2-for-14 (14.3 percent) from behind the arc over the opening 20 minutes.
