BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Junior
Izzy Treanor of the St. Olaf College women's swimming and diving team was honored as the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women's Diving Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Treanor earned the third MIAC Athlete of the Week accolade of her career after opening her season by winning the one-meter diving (435.05) and finishing third in the three-meter diving (379.30) at Saturday's Cows, Colleges, and Contentment Classic. The junior won the one-meter diving by over 15 points and was the top finisher among NCAA Division III divers in the three-meter event.
Treanor was the MIAC champion on the one-meter board last season and became the first St. Olaf women's diver to qualify for the NCAA Championships since 2008, eventually finishing 19th in the one-meter diving (368.90) and 28th in the three-meter diving (359.60).
St. Olaf travels to Collegeville, Minn. for a dual against the College of Saint Benedict on Friday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m.
