MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The St. Olaf College women's hockey team suffered its second-straight shutout at the hands of Augsburg University in a 6-0 loss in the series finale between the two teams on Saturday afternoon at Ed Saugestad Rink.
After posting a 2-0 shutout the night before, Augsburg (5-4-1, 4-1-1 MIAC) scored twice in the first period, three times in the second, and once more in the third to extend its winning streak in the series with St. Olaf (5-5-1, 3-3-0 MIAC) to nine games. Chloe Stockinger stopped all 28 shots she faced in the win for the Auggies.
Katie Flynn scored twice, Emily Cronkhite had a goal and two assists, and Claire Jenkins Coffman added a goal and an assist for Augsburg, which got points from 10 different student-athletes in the game.
Augsburg led just 1-0 in the final minute of the first period before Flynn netted her first goal of the afternoon at the 19:39 mark to double the hosts' lead after 20 minutes. The Auggies scored twice in the span of 48 seconds in the first seven minutes of what ended up as a three-goal second period before Jenkins Coffman capped the scoring on the power play at 16:23 of the third.

The Oles play their final series of 2022 against non-conference foe UW-Superior next weekend, starting with a 4 p.m. start at home on Friday, Dec. 9.
