MOORHEAD, Minn. – In its first of two fall dual matches, the St. Olaf College men's tennis team used a doubles sweep to pick up a 7-2 road victory over Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday afternoon.

Max Loesch to get out to a lead on Concordia (0-1, 0-1 MIAC). In singles, the Oles closed out the victory with victories at the No. 1, No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6 spots, including super-tiebreaker wins from Vizoli and Belik.
In doubles, Vizoli/Veldic teamed for an 8-6 victory at the top spot and Kruse/Johnson were victorious by the same margin at the second spot, while Belik and Loesch claimed an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles. Vizoli and Veldic's win moved them to 3-1 on the season after they advanced to the round of 16 at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Championships last weekend.
After the Cobbers got on the board with a super-tiebreaker win at No. 2 singles, the Oles answered by winning super-tiebreakers at No. 3 and No. 1 singles to get the five points needed to secure the team result. Belik bounced back from dropping the second set of his match at No. 3 singles to earn a 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 win, while Vizoli did the same at No. 1 singles in a 6-4, 4-6, 10-4 triumph.

Jerusalem Thao logged straight-set victories at the bottom two singles spots. Thao did not lose a game at No. 6 singles, while Loesch lost just five at No. 5 singles.
St. Olaf plays its second of two fall MIAC matches on Saturday, Oct. 14 against Hamline University at Washington Tech Magnet School in St. Paul at 1:30 p.m.
