UW-La Crosse scored four times in each of the first three innings, three times in the fourth, and two more in the fifth to build a 17-2 lead. St. Olaf recorded 13 hits in the opener but left 13 runners on base.

The top-three spots in the Eagles' lineup combined to go 11-for-15 with nine runs scored and 11 RBI. First year Brendan Goldman, junior Joey Glampe, and first year Mason Buck all had two-hit games for the Oles.

A two-out RBI single by Glampe got St. Olaf on the board in the bottom of the first after UW-La Crosse scored four times in the top of the frame. The Oles scored again in the second on a fielder's choice off the bat of sophomore Jack Alley that scored junior Brian Nevin.

The visitors scored the next nine runs to open up a 17-2 lead before St. Olaf got a pair of runs in the fifth. Senior Avery von Herrmann provided a pinch-hit RBI single for the first run of the inning and the second run scored on a balk.

First year Christopher Woodside added a run-scoring single in the sixth for his first-career RBI and the Oles' final run of the game. Junior Owen Manning struck out a career-high seven batters over his 2.1 relief innings for St. Olaf, far surpassing his previous career-high total of two strikeouts.
