BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Senior Connor Martin of the St. Olaf College men's basketball team was recognized as the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Martin picked up the first second Athlete of the Week accolade of his career after averaging 22.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while shooting 60.9 percent (28-for-46) from the field in a 2-1 week for St. Olaf. The senior, who was previously named the MIAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week on March 22, 2021, is St. Olaf's second MIAC Athlete of the Week in men's basketball this season, joining sophomore Kobe Kirk, who was named the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week on Dec. 4.

Last week, Martin recorded back-to-back 25-point performances in wins over the College of St. Scholastica and Macalester College on Monday and Wednesday and shot over 60.0 percent from the floor in both victories. He closed out the week by scoring all 16 of his points in the second half of a last-second loss at Saint Mary's University on Saturday and climbed three spots to 16th in program history in scoring during the week after raising his total to 1,093 points.

The Oles head to Gustavus Adolphus College for a 7 p.m. tip-off on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
