BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Senior forward
Shea Bechtel of the regionally-ranked St. Olaf College men's soccer team collected his second Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week accolade in a row on Monday.
Bechtel secured the third MIAC Athlete of the Week honor of his career after tallying two goals and one assist to lead St. Olaf to conference wins over Carleton College and Macalester College by a combined score of 7-1 last week. The senior has registered five goals and two assists over the Oles' last four games.
On Wednesday, Bechtel set up St. Olaf's second goal in a 2-0 victory over Carleton to extend his program-record assist total to 39. He followed that up by scoring twice in the span of 6:05 of game time in Saturday's 5-1 win at regionally-ranked Macalester for the fourth multi-goal game of his collegiate career.
St. Olaf will visit UW-Platteville for a 7 p.m. kickoff on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
