ST. PAUL, Minn. - The No. 21-ranked St. Olaf College men's cross country team won its fourth consecutive Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) team title with a 51-point margin of victory at the MIAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning at Highland 9 Cross Country Trailhead.
 
Led by seven All-MIAC (top 15) performances, St. Olaf won the meet for the fourth season in a row by compiling a team score of 33 points, 51 ahead of second-place Carleton College. The 51-point margin was the second-highest by a winning team since 2015, trailing the Oles' record margin of 73 points from a year ago.
 
Senior 
Kevin Turlington was the runner-up for the second season in a row and earned his third consecutive All-MIAC accolade with a time of 24:32.7, trailing only Augsburg University's Mohammed Bati, who became the first four-time individual champion in recorded conference history. As a team, St. Olaf had six finishers cross the line before any other team had two.
 
Seniors 
Jack Deaver and 
Gael Manzur Strandlund were separated by just half a second in fifth (25:43.9) and sixth (25:44.4), respectively, while classmate 
Eli Doran made it four Oles in the top 10 in ninth (25:53.1). Deaver and Manzur Strandlund picked up All-MIAC honors for the second seasons in row, while Doran did so for the first time.
 
Sophomore Cooper Gunderson posted St. Olaf's fifth counting score in 11th (25:59.6) with a personal-best 8K time, followed closely by senior 
Ignatius Fitzgerald in 12th (26:00.5) for Fitzgerald's second consecutive all-conference performance. First year 
Connor Hitchcock rounded out the seven All-MIAC showings for the Oles in 14th (26:02.1).
 
Junior Alek Bjork was an Honorable Mention All-MIAC honoree for the second season in a row in 17th (26:17.3), while senior 
Angelo Fiataruolo was not far behind in 18th (26:21.4). Senior 
Parker Max (21st, 26:29.1) and first year 
Noah DuVivier (24th, 26:41.2) also finished in the honorable-mention spots.
 
The Oles will turn their attention to the NCAA Division III North Region Championships, which will be held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wis. Before that, St. Olaf's runners who will not be competing at the regional will run in the AECMR at home on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 5 p.m.
