INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The St. Olaf College men's soccer team learned it will host a four-team regional in the first and second rounds of the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship, as the 64-team field for this year's national tournament was revealed on Monday morning.
St. Olaf (16-2-3) earned an at-large bid into the field after winning the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) regular-season title and advancing to the championship game of the MIAC Playoffs. The Oles will host the opening two rounds at Rolf Mellby Field and will take on Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) regular-season and tournament champion UW-Superior (16-6-0) in the opening round at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15.
In the other first-round matchup, Midwest Conference (MWC) regular-season and tournament champion Lake Forest College (19-1-0) will face American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) regular-season and tournament champion Luther College (9-2-7) in a 1:30 p.m. kickoff on Saturday. The winners of the two first-round games will play on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. for a spot in the sectional rounds.
St. Olaf will be making its 12th appearance in the NCAA Tournament in program history (1984, 1992, 1998, 1999, 2009, 2011, 2015, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025) and will host a pod on opening weekend for the fifth time (1999, 2021, 2023, 2024, 2025).
