KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Four members of the fourth-ranked St. Olaf College men's soccer team were selected to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's All-Region IX Teams on Tuesday.

Ryan Bechtel and senior
Robi Buzakovic were named to the First Team, senior
Caspar Olseth earned a spot on the Second Team, and senior
Aidan Hillis landed on the Fourth Team. Bechtel, Buzakovic, and Hillis all collected their second United Soccer Coaches All-Region accolades, while Olseth was a first-time honoree. This year marked the fourth season in a row St. Olaf has had four all-region selections, which is the most honorees the program has ever had in a single season.
Bechtel, the 2025 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Offensive Player of the Year, moved up from the Third Team last season to the First Team as a junior. In 24 games so far, Bechtel has recorded 35 points on 11 goals and 13 assists. His 13 assists this season are tied for the second-highest total in recorded program history, while his 35 points are tied for sixth all-time at St. Olaf.
Buzakovic added a second First Team accolade to his resume after previously earning the honor as a first year in 2022. The senior has compiled 16 points on four goals and a career-high eight assists in 24 starts as a central midfielder, while leading the team with 79 shots and 31 shots on goal.
Hillis repeated as a Fourth Team selection in a season where he is one of two Oles to start all 25 of the team's games heading into the national semifinals. The senior has helped St. Olaf limit its opponents to 21 goals in 25 games with a program-record 12 shutouts.
Olseth has played side-by-side with Hillis on St. Olaf's back line this season, while also contributing nine points on three goals and three assists in 22 games (all starts).
In its second-ever appearance in the national semifinals, St. Olaf will take on top-ranked Tufts University at 2 p.m. CST on Friday, Dec. 5 at Kerr Stadium in Salem, Va.
