GREENWOOD, Ind. – Four members of the St. Olaf College women's basketball team were honored on the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District ® Women's Basketball Teams, as announced on Tuesday.
Sophomore
Joy Brandenstein, senior
Sophia Kormann, senior
Sarah Tangen, and senior
Ziling Zhen were named to the CSC Academic All-District ® Teams, which recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. In order to be recognized, nominees must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average, and must compete in 90 percent or start in 66 percent of their institution's games during the season.
Tangen, a biology major, was honored with her third consecutive CSC Academic All-District ® accolade, while Zhen, a mathematics major, picked up her second. Brandenstein, a film and media studies major, and Kormann, a biology major, were recognized for the first time in their respective careers.
