GLOUCESTER, Mass. – Senior defenseman
Connor Kalthoff of the St. Olaf College men's hockey team repeated as a CCM Hockey/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) First Team West All-American, as announced on Thursday.
Kalthoff landed the honor for the second season in a row to become the second Ole to earn two CCM/AHCA All-America accolades in their career, joining John Paulson '08. Paulson was a second-team honoree in each of his final two seasons. St. Olaf has now had seven student-athletes collect a total of nine CCM/AHCA All-America accolades.
The honor was the latest in a string of accolades for Kalthoff, who was named one of 13 finalists for the 2025 Sid Watson Award, which is given annually to the top NCAA Division II-III men's hockey player in the country. Kalthoff was also honored as the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Defensive Player of the Year and was named to the MIAC All-Conference Team for the third season in a row.
In his senior campaign, Kalthoff compiled 20 points on five goals and 15 assists to lead the team in assists while ranking tied for second in points. The senior also tied for the team lead with 21 blocked shots. Kalthoff concluded his standout career fifth in recorded program history in points by a defenseman (66) with 18 goals and 48 assists in a program-record 112 games.
