Kobe Kirk of the St. Olaf College men's basketball team collected his third consecutive postseason accolade from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, as he was named to the honorable-mention list in the 2024-25 MIAC Men's Basketball Awards on Tuesday.
Kirk was one of five student-athletes named to the Honorable Mention All-MIAC list, which consists of players who received at least three votes in the all-conference balloting. The junior was also an honorable-mention selection as a first year and was on the 15-member All-MIAC team last season.
This season, Kirk averaged 15.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.1 blocks, and 0.9 steals per game in St. Olaf's 16 conference contests while shooting 35.4 percent (28-for-79) from behind the arc and a MIAC-best 88.9 percent (56-for-63) from the free-throw line. In addition to leading the conference in free-throw percentage, Kirk ranked tied for third in blocked shots (18), fourth in blocked shots per game, sixth in points (250), seventh in minutes (498), eighth in points per game and field goals made (83), tied for 10th in three-pointers made, 11th in minutes per game (31.1), and tied for 12th in three-pointers made per game (1.8).
Kirk is slated to be the lone senior on next season's roster, as St. Olaf is poised to return 12-of-15 members of this season's team.
