BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Junior
Isaac Schmidt of the St. Olaf College men's golf team earned Honorable Mention All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) honors in the 2024-25 MIAC Men's Golf Awards, as announced on Monday afternoon.
Schmidt collected the first conference-wide recognition of his career as one of two honorable-mention honorees in the conference. The top-10 finishers (including ties) at the MIAC Championships in the fall automatically earned All-MIAC honors, and coaches nominated and voted on the additional five all-conference honorees based on their body of work throughout the season. Any individual who earned votes from at least three coaches in the balloting but did not place among the top-five vote-getters were named honorable-mention honorees.
Schmidt led St. Olaf in scoring average (75.1) this season, a figure that ranked 10th in the conference, and finished in the top 20 in six of the eight tournaments he played in. He was the top finisher for the Oles at the MIAC Championships by tying for 11th (225, +9), which marked the third top-20 performance in as many seasons for the junior.
