BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Senior
Michaela Dooley of the St. Olaf College volleyball team was selected as the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Volleyball Specialty Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday.
Dooley added a second MIAC Athlete of the Week accolade to her resume after averaging 6.57 digs per set and handling all 33 of her service receptions without an error in St. Olaf's MIAC wins over Gustavus Adolphus College and Hamline University last week. The senior was also named the MIAC Specialty Player of the Week on Sept. 21.
Dooley racked up 30 digs for her second-highest total of the season in a four-set victory at Gustavus on Wednesday, which was the Oles' first win in St. Peter since 2010. She added 16 digs and three aces in Saturday's home sweep of the Pipers.
St. Olaf will play three road matches this week, starting with a trip to UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday, Oct. 14 for a 7 p.m. start.
