Mahoney ran a kickoff back 86 yards for a touchdown to help St. Olaf to a 35-27 victory over Macalester College on Saturday for the Oles' second consecutive win. After the Scots scored with 32 seconds left in the first half to get within one, the junior raced up the right sideline for an 86-yard touchdown on the ensuing kickoff to give the Oles a 21-13 halftime lead. Mahoney, who also had nine tackles and the game-sealing interception with Macalester at the St. Olaf 27-yard line with 1:16 remaining in the game, totaled 180 yards on five kick returns in the game for an average of 36.0 yards per return.
Dooley compiled 68 digs (5.23 per set) and four aces (0.31 per set) in a 2-1 week that saw St. Olaf clinch its ninth consecutive berth in the MIAC Playoffs. The senior had 28 digs apiece in back-to-back five-set wins over Saint Mary's University and Augsburg University on Friday and Saturday and had three aces in the victory against the Auggies.
Percy stopped all four shots on goal she faced in back-to-back shutouts last week for St. Olaf. The sophomore had three saves in a 1-0 victory at UW-Eau Claire on Tuesday before stopping the only shot that came her way in a 1-0 win at Hamline University on Saturday.
McNaughton scored four goals to lead St. Olaf to a season-opening road sweep of Lawrence University on Friday and Saturday. After scoring once in a 6-3 win on Friday night, the sophomore netted his first collegiate hat trick in another 6-3 victory on Saturday.
