BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Senior Elle Brandt of the St. Olaf College softball team was selected as the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Softball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Brandt earned the first MIAC Athlete of the Week accolade of her career after going 3-for-6 (.500) at the plate with a double, a home run, two runs scored, and three RBI in St. Olaf's wins over UW-River Falls and Dominican University (Ill.) on Saturday. The senior doubled and blasted a two-run home run in the Oles' 4-2 victory over the Falcons before singling in a run and scoring in the 8-0 five-inning win against the Stars.

Off to a 3-1 start, St. Olaf will play UW-Platteville (3:30 p.m.) and Buena Vista University (5:30 p.m.) on Saturday, Feb. 28 at the Rochester Regional Stadium & Bubble.
