SARTELL, Minn. – The St. Olaf College women's tennis team saw its three-match winning streak come to an end with a 5-2 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) loss to the College of Saint Benedict on Sunday at Sta-Fit.
St. Olaf (3-3, 1-2 MIAC) claimed the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, but Saint Ben's (1-1, 1-1 MIAC) rallied with wins in five of the six singles matches. Senior
Alexandra Berns remained undefeated in singles and doubles in dual matches this season by having a hand in both of the Oles' points in the loss.
After the Bennies posted a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles, St. Olaf answered with 6-4 victories at the other two spots to grab the advantage. Junior

Dana Keesler moved to 3-1 (2-0 MIAC) on the season with their 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles, while Berns and senior
Emma Clift improved to 6-0 (3-0 MIAC) in dual matches with their 6-4 triumph at No. 1 doubles.
Berns was the lone victor in singles play for the Oles, posting a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles for her sixth consecutive dual-match victory, three of which have been in conference matches. Saint Ben's won super tiebreakers at No. 2, No. 4, and No. 5 singles among its five singles wins.
St. Olaf is scheduled to host Saint Mary's University at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 14 at Carlson Courts.
