LEXINGTON, Ky. – The St. Olaf College volleyball team rose three spots to No. 21 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA)-Taraflex Division III Women's Volleyball Poll, as announced on Tuesday.

St. Olaf (6-1) jumped up three spots in the national poll after a 3-0 weekend at the P-Wolf Invite to assume its highest national ranking since 2011. The Oles were also ranked No. 21 by the AVCA in the first regular-season poll of 2011.

Head coach Emma Nelson's team earned 414 points in this week's national balloting, which was more than double St. Olaf's total from last week (200). The Oles, who dropped just one set in their three wins in Nebraska over the weekend, were the lone Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) program in the top 25 this week. Gustavus Adolphus College and the College of Saint Benedict received votes as well.

St. Olaf will head to Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa this weekend for the Mabel Lee Invite where the Oles will face a pair of teams that received votes nationally this week. St. Olaf will open the tournament against the University of Dubuque (4 p.m.) and Coe (6:30 p.m.) on Saturday, Sept. 18.
